As a white woman, this week has been a year.

As a Black person, I imagine that this week is simply one in a lifetime of exhaustion, passion, struggle, and the desire to be seen and heard.

I am keeping this post short and sweet, in an effort to direct your attention to the following Instagram accounts run by plant-based people of color. Many of them have cookbooks and blogs, and I encourage you to cook their recipes this week (and the weeks following) and share them with your circle.

I am torn between wanting to write a novel here and wanting to only act as a road sign, pointing the way toward the work of Black and Brown creators who need to be heard. For now, I’ll leave it at this:

I see you. I hear you. I will stand for you. I will fight for you. I will vote for you.

And I promise that this is only the beginning.
